Christie’s endorsement was a shocker to me. Up until now, I had thought that he was one of those halfway-reasonable Republicans, possessed of common sense. Clearly I was wrong. Sucking up for a future job perhaps?

I’m reminded of an old April Wine song: The Whole World’s Goin’ Crazy.

Its a coalition of the pathetically despicable.

I had been following Christie a bit. He was once asked when he would attack Trump. His response was that he would, in time. How? was the next question. He said for anyone who challenged Trump to ask Trump “How” was he going to do any of what he said. How would he have the Mexicans pay for a wall. How would Trump deport all the illegal (undocumented?) aliens. How would he exclude Muslims from the US.

There is no answer to the how he would do it.

Christie never got the chance to challenge Trump.

I had had a begrudging respect for Christie. I thought was was not one of the passengers on the GOP Crazy Train.

See, I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not.

Certainly was a hoot watching Rubio put the screws to that gasbag Trump last night! That was a brilliant performance! Thought The Donald was going to pop a couple blood vessels!

Super Tuesday gets a lot more interesting now.

The following is Reagan’s speech to the GOP Convention in 1964…

I mention this because people like to compare Trump to Reagan, which is bloody well preposterous!

But what’s more fascinating is, listening to it, I’m betting many will be amazed at how relevant it still is now in 2016. Indeed, shockingly so!

you know Cranbrook if you’d remove the nail you’ve pounded into your right foot you wouldn’t have to walk around in circles all the time. round and round and round you go and we all know where you’re going to go :0(

Now I will get the usual attack crap from all the politically correct progressives on here, but here’s the deal. Trump in the U S and O’Leary in Canada, are tapping into the disgust many of us feel for our slimy politicians and the parties they represent. They have no scruples, no conscience and are all selfish as hell and willing to lie to us about anything that suits their agenda and most of them could care less about us or the country. They change their policies and their opinions to suit the prevailing winds and attempt to govern us by polls rather than any kind of a solid belief system. Obama proven to be a lightweigh, who’s accomplished very little and so will junior when all is said and done. There is a growing opinion and a strong undercurrent of cynicism in this country, that we are all getting fkd by our so-called elites, even more so than usual at this time in our history. We all laughed at Peter Finch in Network and his line. I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!” Granted it was ahead of its time, but not so much anymore. Laugh if you will, but make a note – it won’t be so funny in the future.

As a progressive, is agree with everything you said. The problem is everything Trump says is false, but unlike most politicians, he is too dumb to know that.

Sanders is tapping into the same feelings, but his claims are supported by evidence.

  8. Innocent III says:

Christie’s endorsement really is important. If his goal was to further the Republican Party establishment, he succeeded brilliantly.

    • Ronald O'Dowd says:

      Innocent III,

One big ego meets an even bigger one. Hard to play nice in the same sand box over the medium to long term. Trump already suffers from doubt by true Conservatives. Christie doesn’t have to deal with that — cause no Conservative Republican would ever consider him as a true Conservative.

  9. Innocent III says:

Sorry the above ought to have read ‘…If his goal was to further humiliate the Republican Party establishment, he succeeded brilliantly.’
