Tomorrow’s Boston Globe, foretelling the future

It’s to match their anti-Trump editorial inside.

Could it ever happen? Of course it could. Trump has shown us all that many, many Americans are in a decidedly conservative mood. They will never vote for a guy from Vermonet who calls himself a socialist. Sorry, but they won’t.

Want this front page to be real, America? Pick Sanders as the Democratic nominee.

Well…I guess all the American polls on a national election campaign with Sanders versus Trump are wrong.

    Warren,

Rodham Clinton is worth 120 million apparently mostly from giving speeches. That’s a tough nut to swallow for Joe and Jane Mainstreet. She’s really got her work cut out for her. People don’t feel she is like us, whatever that means.

    • Art says:

Joe and Jane Mainstreet would do exactly the same thing if they were in her position. Let’s keep it real, shall we.

Interesting concept but the joke stories in the briefs rail at the bottom of the fake front page undermine the message IMO. “Trump National Park”? Omarosa as Education Secretary? Unnecessary distractions IMO.

Exactly. It’s like a horrible game of rock-paper-scissors. Clinton beats Trump. Clinton beats Cruz. Trump beats Sanders. Sanders beats no one.

  5. doconnor says:

They are in an angry mood, not conservative. After all Trump isn’t very conservative.

The difference between Sander and Trump is how how much your anger and fear overwhelms your rationality.

I’m amazed at how many normally rational people think Sanders would have a hope in hell of being elected. I understand the youth vote, they are allowed to dream at their age. I would love to see Bernie elected but it ain’t gonna happen. The socialist, commie taint would destroy him utterly and you would have all three branches go Conservative down there along with a Conservative Supreme Court. Now that would be an epic disaster.

I mentioned the polls that I have read, and I base my speculations on those polls. Every few days I glance at the polls on a site called Real Clear Politics. RCP shows a few different polls.

I wonder where the rest of you are finding any other info that convinces you that Sanders will lose to any of the GOP candidates.

    • Art says:

Davie, Sanders has not been exposed to the right wing smear machine yet. Surely you realize what will happen when he is. It wouldn’t be pretty. The Republicans are praying that he is the candidate and have been laying off him.

Art…as I mentioned, I look at some polls. So far, that is why have doubts about what pundits say about Sanders’ viability as a national candidate. I notice, though, that when Sanders announced his candidacy many months ago that many pundits gave him no chance. I think there is something hard to analyze (so far) happening in politics in the West because of high tech info systems that seem to escape, or even counter, what we oldsters are used to in old media – newspapers, news channels, radio, lawn signs, and such.
I will speculate that a Sanders strength is his appeal to a younger generation that uses this high tech info dissemination as a 1st language.
A Clinton weakness is that these young Sanders people see Clinton as one with any of the GOP candidates, and will not necessarily support a Clinton campaign next fall.

I imagine the GOP and Democrat smear machines both have septic tanks brimming with what will excite their media down there.

    I just became a Cruz supporter…

His intentions on cutting funding across the board for AGW/climate change racketeers clinches it for me!

    • davie says:

Lol…Al, just to be safe, don’t go for any ocean front real estate deals too soon. They’re hard to insure.

Well I guess they will pick who they pick. I don’t think anything is certain about the subsequent election. I don’t think that Sanders would beat Trump, I am not so sure that Clinton would beat Trump, but then again, Trump may not even be on the ballot.
