   when the clown jester is elected
   and given the crown jewels
   will the press genuflect
   and worship his ship of fools
   the words are empty now
   stripped of all impact
   down at the crossroads
   of white versus black
   gonna be a long summer
   there is no going back
   the devils in the details
   and the soldier from Iraq
   stay tuned for Fox News
   to lance the festering boil
   there’s money to made boys
   but we will pay the toll
   and the rich will just get richer
   let the good times.
