I get they all do it and all sports but politicians should stay away in person or by video….unless Canada is playing foreign country ….

    Warren ,

Signs that impending end of the honeymoon are nigh?……..It’s to be expected……..He’s broken the cardinal rule of successful politicians…….He’s oversold/overexposed……and underperformed thus far, imho…..

This one doesn’t seem to be going away soon, I’m seeing more mentions of Junior’s faux pas being picked up by foreign press.

Which begs the question, how did this statement make it past the first draft anyway?

It looks to me like his handlers were too busy and they let him craft this response himself.

It certainly reads like he wrote it.

lol, mebbe if more than 2% of the population paid the slightest attention. But they don’t, so it won’t.

Trudeau has announced that he will not be going to the funeral and is sending the GG instead.
If Castro is the guy responsible for killing about 100,000+ Cubans,
why is anyone going from here; I think we should not be honouring Castro at all. Seems to me Justin can’t back away from showing his personal warm fuzzy feelings for this monster.
Where is his moral compass? I expected far more from him than this.

Generally at sports games, those who oppose the party in power boo. Only time you saw cheers is one an incumbent party gets turfed from office. Rafe Mare once wrote how at a BC Lions game when Bill Bennett just got re-elected the crowd erupted in boos, yet obviously several people in the crowd voted for him considering he got 49% of the popular vote. I suspect if you were at any US game during the last eleciton you would have heard loud boos everytime a state was called for either Trump or Clinton even though obviously most voted for one of the two.

Kind of funny/ironic to see Stephen Harper being cheered at at Ottawa’s victory party after the game. “How quickly they forget.” LOL.
