    Thus spake Alan,:
Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy!
The world is Holy! The soul is Holy, The crest of snow is Holy! The hearth is Holy! The children are Holy! The music is Holy! The Drano is Holy!…

    (…okay, so I don’t have it memorized exactly…)

Wow. Sounds like it was a big party last night. You may want to learn from our experience:

Every number of years the idea of another session of Christmas insanity seems too much, so we just take a holiday. Furnished apartment on an island in the Caribbean where we can speak Dutch to our heart’s content. No big family gatherings, no constant rounds of parties, just a place with a beach and housekeeping service. And if we want a reminder of winter, we just say “Gelieve, Noortje, gooi een ijsblokje in mijn daiquiri”.

    Good for the soul.

Love this! Add to it the episodic insanity of having to listen to the Little Drummer Boy again on Muzak or whatever online streaming service the stores use, plus the yellow engine block light coming on inexplicably in our ancient Honda. And refrigerators so crammed with complex foods that I cannot find the broccoli or the eggs. Sanity, and thankfully the World Junior Hockey Tournie alll start again on the 26th. Peace on Earth
