You posted this without any context. It seems highly unlikely that a speech writer would have let this slip through. A cursory search seems to indicate that those lines aren’t even in the movie.

  2. bluegreenblogger says:

Is Margaret Wente writing for Trump now?

  3. Sean says:

These comments implicitly assume that facts matter.

  4. Sam says:

This is basically “fake news” – something that the anti-Trump Twitter crowd has been engaging in with increasing regularity. (And I’m part of the anti-Trump crowd, just not a fan of the Twitter foolishness.)

  5. Kelly says:

This is how it works now, conservative authoritarians…you invented fake news. Now eat it.

  6. Charlie says:

    So, thus far:

    – Melania plagiarizes Michelle’s speech
    – Trump copies Obama’s cake
    – Piano Guys who sang for Trump used “Fight Song” (Hillary’s campaign theme song) without permission of original singer
    – Trump straight up lifts a part of Bane’s speech from the Batman movie
    – Trump’s team uses a picture of Obama’s Inauguration for his Twitter page; though, I could see why they wouldn’t want to use their own.
    – Trump National Security pick, Monica Crowley, gets exposed for plagiarism and has to decline job in administration.

Can these losers not do anything original?
