Mr. Speaker, my question is for the Prime Minister.

Background here, for the supplementary question(s).

Our leaders’ silence is deafening. And more Canadians are starting to notice. see Chantal Hebert’s column in today’s Star for example (along with Gary Mason’s and yours of course). I think Trudeau is eventually going to find that there are limits to how much silence and walking on eggshells when it comes to Trump that Canadians are willing to put up with. Especially as his behaviour (I predict) gets increasingly odious (hard as that may be to believe it can get worse).

    Hmmm…..

CBC reported Kate Purchase (not sure her position within the PMO, Comms Director maybe?) sent a rather terse letter to the president of FOX News because they still have the tweet up the shooter was the man later released as a witness.

Will she do the same to Sean Spicer?

    • Ronald O'Dowd says:

      Matt,

It worked with Fox. A quiet but already overdue phone call from the PM to the President should produce results. Trump doesn’t cooperate with people seen to be publicly pushing him to do something. Has quite a lot to do with his unique personality.

  3. Matt says:

Not trying to defend Spicer here, but is it possible that when he made the statement the media here were still reporting there were two suspects under arrest? I don’t know what time the White House press briefings usually happen.

That still doesn’t excuse the fact they did not correct the record once he was found to be a witness rather than a suspect.
