Scheer is a scheater

7,500 votes.

That’s much more than the margin Scheer “won” by. That’s an actual scandal.

But what would you expect from a leader whose campaign guru helped to found the alt-Right web site The Rebel?

There is NO discrepancy. This is merely FAKE NEWS generated by a few disgruntled Bernier supporters and lazy reporting. They are being intentionally misleading comparing apples and oranges.

  2. Kevin T. says:

Bah, this is an easy problem to solve. Just recount the ballots. There should not be any problem just picking them up from their secured storage, where, logically and common sense-ly, they were being kept until all this was finalized.

  3. Charlie says:

Looking forward to seeing how that “unity” holds up.

  4. Steve T says:

Good try at starting a narrative that Scheer was responsible for the possible irregularities. However, the facts as we know them, and as set out in the article, do not show any link to Scheer.

There may have been an improper process (likely bungled by inept workers), or even people who were allowed to vote twice, but it’s ridiculous to suggest it was some massive Scheer conspiracy. It may turn out that Scheer did not deserve to be declared the winner, but it’s something else entirely to pretend he orchestrated it.

    • Kevin says:

Sort of. The facts actually show that: 1) Bernier went into the vote with an almost 8 point lead, 2) 7466 more votes were counted than there were voters, 3) Scheer was declared the winner, and 4) the 7466 unidentified votes are greater than Sheer’s margin of victory.

Conjecture blaming inept workers or voters voting twice is just conjecture.

.. the ballots were burned immediately.. ‘human error’ so says CPC Director Dustin van Vogt.. Rumor has it all ballots were preserved ‘digitally’. Mr van Vogt of course replaced Dimitri Soudas who escaped with Eve. Dustin is the former flunkie of former MP Rob Anders..

A court order might ensure the original digital record of all the ballots would be held by The Court.. but then again a solar flare might erase such fragile media, or human error mislay said digital record.

This is the political party reknowned for triple deleting expertise, mysterious leakage of the Party’s failthful membership list to a gun lobby.. and of course.. there once was an election where a sole perpatrator penetrated the vaunted CPC electoral database, struck 240 some federal ridings with live and robocall fraud and altered the sign in logs. To this day the party disavows anything untoward happened..

There is however a large piece of evidence known as Dean Del Mastro of the thunderously shouted ‘baseless smears’ and a guy named Michael Sona.. and another guy still living in friendly Kuwait..

Elections Canada should run nominations and leadership Conventions for all parties. Period.

      Even for the Marxist–Leninist Party?

    • Charlie says:

      No chance of ever happening.

Firstly, parties operate like private enterprises that masquerade around like democratic institutions. In reality, all decisions are left to the discretion of a party’s management and there is little in the way of preventing “undemocratic” actions from occurring. No political party wants an non-partisan, governmental agency snooping around its house any more than it already is.

Secondly, Conservatives in particular hate Elections Canada and the very suggestion of EC having any control over their party would induce rage from a significant portion of their base.

Thirdly, who bears the cost? Resources are required for this degree of involvement. I don’t know how comfortable I’d be with having to subsidize the electoral process of the Greens should they hold a convention for a new leader.

      • Sean says:

Agree totally, Charlie. My point is that this is just another reason for Canadians to not vote at all.

  7. Matt says:

There were reps from each campaign present when Deloitte was counting the ballots.

Why no mention of irregularities then?
