When imitation is stupidity and not flattery

It’s telling that when this guy announced Spicer’s departure he wished him well and — HOPED HE WENT OFF AND MADE A PILE OF MONEY.

That says it all. American political life is now unabashedly, unashamedly, about personal enrichment, rather than service to the common good. It’s pathetic and reminiscent of the latter days of the Roman republic. Corruption, graft, debauchery…it will all end in tears.

There is no “common good” in the American dream. Many of us have been deluded into thinking that the formation of the United States of America was based on democracy but the Mooch said it in an interview with BBC – the US was formed by a bunch of rich guys – “a disruptive start-up” – to break away from other countries and start their own. It wasn’t about the “common good”; it was to avoid paying taxes. Look to the Boston Tea Party of 1773 for the roots of this American government.
