This gift that keeps on giving…

    Operation Exodus

A desperate exodus as refugees flee Trump’s fascist and white supremacist America.

Jean-Pierre Fortin, president Canada Border Services Agency union, said 500 people crossed the border on Tuesday alone. Fortin: “The numbers have exploded in the last week and a half. My colleagues at the border said it was a similar day today [Wednesday].” 500 x 365 days = 182, 500 refugees.

This dire situation will no doubt get worse: there are 20 million undocumented migrants in the United States who fear deportation to their countries of origin. Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre, an outspoken critic of the U.S. administration’s immigration policies, has ordered the Olympic Stadium to be used as a temporary shelter for asylum seekers.
The Government of Canada must act quickly and decisively. On any given night, there are already at least 30,000 homeless people in Canada. A surge in refugees will only increase human misery.

There is an easy and quick solution. In Vancouver, a “New census counts 25,502 unoccupied homes in Vancouver, 15% jump over 2011.” Yes, over 25,000 homes just sitting empty. There are also 100s of 1000s of unoccupied apartments that sit vacant. Assigning 7 refugees to each of these unoccupied homes could more than accommodate the refugee exodus for 2017.

We call on all Canadians to pressure all levels of government to implement Operation Exodus immediately. We call on the Prime Minister to engage broad executive powers to achieve this humanitarian goal.

Literally no idea what you’re talking about, relative to WK’s post or otherwise. However, a plan for the government to forcibly take people’s property seems unconstitutional. It also seems dumb and poorly thought out.

Not my idea, not a new idea: Jeremy Corbyn: “…properties must be found – requisitioned if necessary – to make sure those residents do get re-housed locally. It can’t be acceptable that in London we have luxury buildings and luxury flats left empty as land banking for the future while the homeless and the poor look for somewhere to live.”

Whatever one thinks of it, an influx of millions of refugees from the Third World will precipitate a neo-Maoist insurgency. Depend on it.
