Twitter has suspended account of Nazi who wanted my wife to be raped and killed

Took way too long to happen, however. And what he published, and Twitter allowed to be published, here.

How long did that take, and how much of your time did that take? In my view, this is part of how the alt wrong win — because setting up twitter sock puppet accounts and attacking people is far easier than the process to take them down.

I’m kind of with antifa on this — doxing these people and making it socially difficult for them to say shit like this is a better strategy.

Yes, and I hope having his Twitter account suspended is the least of his worries.

    Does it matter, though?

From what I gather, Twitter doesn’t block IP addresses but only email accounts from creating/using profiles. This asshole could just go and create another account to spew his other bullshit from behind his keyboard.

Twitter doesn’t do shit-all to deal with the issue of anonymous, mostly fake/mass produced accounts that are spread all over the social media site like a cancer. There are dozens and dozens of blatantly fake/anonymous Twitter accounts that tweet the most insane and false shit on a 24/7 cycle but still garner thousands of followers. Despite being in direct violation of Twitter policy, it takes an arm and leg just to get Twitter managers to notice or take action.

I keep saying this, but social media has a serious, serious problem but no incentive to deal with the issue. So long as their numbers are inflated, they can try and convince advertisers that their site is the place for their money. At some point, regulations need to be put forward because a online world with a complete absence of consequence can cause a lot of damage.

It’s sad that doxing is more ultimately effective than Twitter’s own process but it just plain is. If social media platforms won’t regulate themselves and government agencies won’t really try either then this is the last effective resort.
