—Feckless and reckless, not selfless
At $70,000 a month.
If Kathleen Wynne really wanted to help Ontario Liberal candidates, she would have resigned the leadership a year ago – she knows she was as unpopular then as she is now. Yesterday’s stunt wasn’t selfless, it was reckless. Worst campaign ever. #onpoli #OLP #ONDP #ONPC

She’s known for a long time she would be toast this election. She and her wife started building a nice big house down in Niagara to move to a while ago.
As for how this affects the election outcome, David Akin had an interesting post yesterday.
Now, I don’t know where he is getting his info from, but he has a model for projecting seats.
Right now – OPC leading 70, NDP leading 48, Libs leading 5, Greens 1.
For fun, he made an assumption that Wynne’s announcement shifts 10% of the Liberal vote in EVERY riding, ALL to the NDP. OPC seat count actually went up.
OPC 72, NDP 49, Libs 2, Greens 1.
Agreed. I had a beer with a friend today who lives in Wynne ‘s riding and voted for her in the advance polls. Said he: “I wasted my fucking vote. Had I known, I’d have voted NDP.”
Was your friend living under a rock for the past 2 years that he actually thought the Liberals had a shot at winning or even securing a remotely respectable result?
No. It wasn’t that at all. It was about preventing a PC candidate from winning by voting NDP (and therby splitting the vote) in a riding, where up until Wynne’s announcement only the Liberals and PCs stood a chance. Now, who knows what will happen if the progressive vote goes to the NDP.
Christian, urge your friend in DVW to re-consider, unless he’s the type to enjoy drama.
