BREAKING: federal MP favours breaking up federation

I was literally walking somewhere today when my friend Adam started chirping at me on Twitter. Hilarious resulting story here.

Like Ontario Proud or not, there is no denying they were a pretty effective force before and during the recent provincial campaign.

And they are now setting their sights on the federal Liberals for the next federal election.

Vaughan is only in politics because he looks good in a suit.

Hey Warren. I comment here from time to time. You may know my political position (Right-of-Centre or what I call the Alt-Centre). But I’d like to hear your position in one of your columns sometime on the bigger theme that I’m seeing from those on the Left (or at least further Left than yourself). What’s the strategy that the Left is using when it comes to Conservative governments these days? The Democrats in the US are an absolute mess by calling every decision the Trump administration makes the “apocalypse” or that “millions will die” which is absolutely absurd. The support from the radical Left (let’s face it, Vaughn is a Dipper) for this idea seems to very much have the same feel as the opposition and media is pushing in the United States (and Canada, for that matter) on a seemingly hourly basis. My question: is this type of opposition sustainable? Something makes me think no. My reason is because Generation Z has been widely thought to be possibly one of the more conservative generations. I feel as though the far Left is underestimating the intelligence of the populace by making such crazy claims. Just wondering what your thoughts are.

      Addendum:

Just spitballing here, but could the election of Jennifer Keesmaat trigger a wave of conservatism throughout Canada? Because obviously this decision will reverberate nationally. I just feel as if this happens it could also be blamed on the non-existent Ontario Liberal Party’s ineptitude and the foolishness that is the federal and Ontario provincial Sociali… I mean NDP. Are there opinion polls available now on this topic to ease my fear?

And by fear I mean Toronto secession, not a wave of conservatism. Call me “Replies to His Own Comments Des”. That should be all :l

    Monty Starshine says:

Vaughan didn’t spend enough time in school. “it’s size” translates to “it is size”, which is gobbledegook.

Let’s try that again: “its size”. The possessive is “its”, the short version of “it is” is “it’s”. What next, “their’s, hi’s and her’s?

I mean, if you cannot rely on an MP to get something so basic correct, this country is doomed.

    Gerry Todd says:

One of my favourite bits of rhetorical nonsense came from Mr. Vaughan around the issue of expanding the Toronto Island airport. His argument: longer runways would decrease the volume of water in Lake Ontario. I kid you not. He said that. On CBC radio. I almost drove off the road.
The genius of the left-wing mind.

    Robert White says:

Aretha Franklin wrote about respect & sung a song about respect too. Adam Vaughan wants a bit of respect for Toronto too.

Methinks Toronto would be down with that, Mr. Premier.

Vaughan backed off- deleted his tweets. The non-answers to the questions he was asked display that he’s just another liberal simpleton. This is tragic because the liberals of Chr├ętien, PE Trudeau, Pearson were overflowing with brain power. But not these guys. But they do have one thing going for them-the sanctuary state broadcaster where gaffs, Gropes, incompetence and scandal are barely reported.
