Celina also came out swinging along with another liberal, Lisa Kinsella. Trudeau has hurt the LPC, and I’m confident that many liberals do not identify with him. On a personal basis, I’m a liberal in exile and will return to the fold as soon as Trudeau and Butts are gone. I admire those liberals who are standing firm for what liberals believe in.

I don’t believe it’s brave, because Long has nothing to lose. He’ll never be in Cabinet. He’s male, white, geographically insignificant, and unconnected to the inner circle. Taking a stand here, he gets himself notoriety and adulation. It’s a calculated move, like everything he’s done since he first positioned himself to run for a seat in the House.
