    It’s not much of a stretch to revisit the days of colonialism where land was taken from the Indigenous nations, treaties made then broken, then made, then broken, and during this time liars and bastards used lies to hoodwink the new comers that everything was above board.

    A very long time ago I read Copper Sunrise, a story about the genocide of the Beothuk. The main bastard in the story was a man called Craven. In hindsight he reminds me of Gerald Butts.

    Not much has changed.
