Never thought I would say this, but I have been very impressed with PM Trudeau’s actions and comments since the tragic downing of Ukrainian Airlines Flight 752. He has acted “Prime Ministerial” showing concern, and providing the Canadian public information in a timely fashion. Its the first time, in a very long time, that I am proud to call him my PM.
This deal is getting over analyzed. No question it was a mistake by a lower level military guy. Iran would never shoot down a plane with dozens of their own citizens aboard. Especially now when they are trying to look like the wounded party vis a vis the current tit for tat with the U.S. Also nice to see Trudeau getting kudo’s worldwide for his firm response to Iran.

My thoughts as well. They are already on very shaky ground with their citizens over all the recent killing of protesters (1500 or so); wouldn’t take much to incite a full-blown revolution at this point, I think.
Trying to cover it up was both idiotic and doomed to failure.
Maybe in the days before cellphone video they might have had a slim chance.
