Not with a bang, but a whimper.

Where are you, God?

This does not bode well for Mr Trudeau. He has spent heavily during the good times, is spending massive amounts now, and refuses to talk about how we will pay for this.

What is more concerning, is how do we prepare for, finance, and deal with a second wave. Trudeau won’t even talk about it. His pat answers to a relatively tame media are; we’re working on it and we will always be here for Canadians.

Look up the mandates for his three health ministers. Do you see any reference to preparing for a pandemic?

Mr Trudeau seems to be putting all his, and our, eggs in the ‘a vaccine will be ready soon bucket’. The virus is mutating. Viruses of this type do that so it shouldn’t be a surprise. But is Mr Trudeau prepared for this?

I wish the media would ask pointed questions about what Trudeau is doing to prepare for a second wave.

Watching humans invariably doing it to themselves once again.

Free will ain’t necessarily all it’s cracked up to be.

I forget which famous French writer and historian pointed out in his work that the root of the word “hospital” was “Hospice of God”.

That is, it referred to the medieval nuns and monks who gave their lives (often quite literally during times of pandemic) to serve the poor and needy among the sick and the dying. Basically those with nowhere else to go, nobody else to turn to, and no way of repaying those who served them.

Thus God is present in how we treat each other during this crisis and pandemic.

A friend just pointed out to me this study was produced by the Los Alamos research group, and that as reported in the L.A. Times their research has not been peer reviewed.

She also pointed me to a (paywalled) Washington Post story reporting that other credible researchers are divided over the Los Alamos claims.

I consider both the L.A. Times and the Washington Post generally reputable as U.S. media. In looking at both reports, I think we need more information from the scientific community before we draw definite conclusions about this secondary strain. Especially since peer review is a critical step to the scientific process.

Where is God? He’s there and heartbroken. Almost everything he created is dead or dying or exploited or polluted. Those he made in his image- kill, rape, enslave, lie and cheat and the love of money ( created by man/woman ) has never been more amorous and so few have it.

Other than that, everything is great. Party on and wash up.
