    Hey Scot,

I wonder if Warren was in the midst of eating when he got the word that Carney will be speaking at the convention…must have put poor Freeland in a very sour mood indeed. Too bad that. LOL. Seems to me that CampCarneyTM must be confident enough that this Prime Minister will blow the next election, otherwise why surface with a splash now? Carney is already on all Liberals’ radar as the anti-Trudeau candidate — you know, the one that’ll prevent Freeland from getting it. But what I’d ask Carney is this: why would he want it, after the mess that Trudeau will have left him? He’s certainly got political courage in spades, I’ll give him that.

Carney’s biggest plus is that he is not in cabinet / caucus. The Liberal Party will need to go through major house cleaning. Voluntarily staying in Justin’s Cabinet should be an automatic disqualifier for any future office, particularly leadership of the Liberal Party.

Why do peoplethink Trudeau will make Carney the finance minister? Trudeau doesn’t put qualified people in portfolios where they can use their expertise.

I’m guessing Health or Agriculture 🙂

      Joe,

It doesn’t make one hell of a difference where you consign a breath of fresh air. Even this PM is smart enough to know that Carney’s future arrival may not be the beginning of the end, but certainly is the end of the beginning. Just ask Freeland, that is, IF somehow you can get her out of that corner where she’s sulking.

Beginning of the end?! No…. its a long drawn out ending that serves no practical purpose for anyone. Like bagpipes at a funeral for a goldfish.

Serving in the Corruption Cabinet? He might as well slit his throat now and be done with it.

        DSAUPH,

Maybe they plan on only running him in the next election. I wonder how Carney would feel about serving in cabinet before an election. Perhaps he might readily accept the former but not the latter, assuming they would win but IMHO, they’ll lose as long as this Prime Minister is at the helm of the party.
