Harper won in 2006, 2008 and 2011. But the trend is no longer your friend first became evident in the 2015 general election. So, elections are all about moderate Conservative policy. Without that, we have absolutely no chance of forming a majority government in this country. Poilièvre already knows that. One assumes he will position the party accordingly for the next election.
Danielle Smith is drowning. Therefore the UCP has but one play left in the game: play to the lowest instincts in individuals and hope it’s enough to save her so-called government. We shall soon see. I hope Notley skips Smith’s portrait hanging when that moment ultimately comes around.
Remember how much class Chrétien showed when he got to hang Mulroney. Smith couldn’t do that in a thousand days…

Ha, ha, ha. The Trudeau government, the only federal government in history that prides itself in mostly never, ever, getting almost any issue right. So, I’m beyond thrilled watching this guy screw up in succession, or if you prefer, once more in a multitude of screw-up times. A Prime Minister who is finally getting in spades what he so richly has earned and deserves.

Totally agree on the whole Toronto and snow thing. Been laughing about it for years. It shocks me that people who need to call in the army when they get a couple of inches of snow actually control who we get as a PM. Drives friends of mine out west crazy when the CBC goes into full insane mode when Toronto and Ottawa are about to get a bit of snow as Ottawa is about to. I am currently in WNY and a few years ago they got SIX FEET during Christmas break. Slowed things down a bit, but not much. Put a hat and gloves on. Like your mom used to tell you. 40 degrees below wind chill one time down here and they didn’t cancel the buses. Just another day basically.
Oh and at the top of the news was how Toronto DIDN’T get the snow it was supposed to get. Honestly, who gives a shit.
