  1. Warren,

How long will be that service?

  2. Like MacArthur almost said: old [shit disturbers] never die, they just fade away.

  3. Warren,

You’re a man of many God-given gifts, which quite thankfully you have rightly chosen to embrace. To watch you evolve as a painter is an exercise in pure joy and admiration. I saw that wonderful progression in my grandmother’s works. By the end of her life, they were close to masterpieces, at least in my biased opinion.

Amazing show. New Order/Joy Division and OMD likely my favourite bands. That is also likely my favourite Replacements track. Very Peter Gabrielish. Van Etten track also one of my favourites by her. Ditto the Sun Volt. I had somehow missed Lord Can You Hear Me despite a ton of Spiritualized and Spacemen 3 in my collection. Great track. And what can you say about The Beatles. Wouldn’t really fit in with this playlist but Funeral For A Friend/Loves Lies Bleeding would be great at a funeral. Elton John co-wrote Funeral while imagining what he would like played at his funeral. Love Lies Bleeding is Taupin writing about a break-up.

Interesting to hear you talk about Creem. I was never a big fan, but on the other hand, read Trouser Press from cover to cover.
