Yup, some media are giving oxygen to those who either hate or make excuses for same. Hope the owners are listening. They need to take action now against all examples of hate and apologists for hate groups. Fuck editorial independence.
The music was great as usual. Hard Girls was a banger track. As was the Lippies. SoundHound and Shazam both got stumped so had to go through their songs. Their 302 track pretty good too. You hand a good Worriers track you didn’t introduce. And Beach Rats. Interesting about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs track. Excuse to throw it on again.
And yes Pierre could be peaking too early. Always worrisome. Locally, I always function on the basis we are behind even though Larry is currently at 52 per cent. NDP is now ahead of the liberals locally by the way.-20%-18%. Libs there have been a train wreck since Jane Stewart and Dave Levac retired. We are adding to our large bank balance as I type this with our end of the year campaign. Money will not be a problem. On the flip side of the peaking too early, the insane Tru-anons literally think the polls are fake news created by their “friends” in the media. And the crowds at his rallies are photo shopped. If you gently suggest otherwise you get blocked. They need to be encouraged.
And in other news, some illiterate Tru-anon with the handle @ironsky123 and named Ray Clark keeps posting as little as three hours ago and on several occasions pics of you with your Web Of Hate cover from a video implying you are some sort of Nazi. That, ladies and gentlemen is your typical Justin supporter.
On Ukraine, the equation is simple: the West has but two honourable and moral choices: a) to continue funding the Ukrainians across the West or b) to fast-track NATO membership and then demand that Russia withdraw and end the war. Point is, under a) Ukraine is our dependable proxy in our collective war against Russia vs. b) NATO gets to do its own dirty work.
If we reduce or curtail funding, we become directly complicit with regard to Russia’s illegal occupation and strategic objectives. In short, we begin to HELP Russia to win.
So…what I say to the collective numbskulls at NATO is this: give your heads a shake because you have only two choices going forward. You can continue to fight Russia via proxy or you can fight Russia directly once a NATO member is threatened or attacked directly. And as sure as I’m breathing, a Russian move against a NATO country IS coming. My bet is either against Poland or in the Baltics. In short, it’s either continue to fight them now via Ukraine or definitely get to fight them later under NATO command. There are no other defensive strategic options, none whatsoever.
The Hamas Terrorist Attack is but the latest continuation of a worldwide hate trend against Jews, Muslims, Gays, Trans, etc. In today’s world, hate rests comfortably within so many individual hearts across boundaries. Others are at least comfortable with watching the HateTrain go by, totally blind and deaf when it comes to causation and effect…today’s worldwide hate environment is in the process of becoming morally and socially acceptable and that absolutely must be thoroughly condemned.
Take the Hamas terrorists out of the equation and run this movie from October 7th on and dare I say that the end result would be practically the same as regards the number of haters and the intensity of their actions and speech. Countless millions want Israel to cease to exist. Period. And may they all pay for that when they get to meet their maker.
Put another way, the Hamas terrorist attacks are but a trigger for all that previously existed to rise up to the surface and at minimum, threaten or intimidate people.
Ask not why so many of the Palestinian demonstrations have a distinct flavour of intimidation. It’s all part of a worldwide trend where proponents subtly use cues of possible violence as a tool to get their way. They’re there, at least in part, to force Government A or B to bend to their will. That is way beyond troubling in a so-called liberal democracy.
The cops, writ-large, aren’t doing and won’t be doing anything across the board until as you sadly predicted someone gets killed.
Hate crimes are viewed as very low in the police pecking order. That needs to change, unless we’re prepared to see our own society ultimately undermined by hate.
Oh and for your son from Ryan Leef who will hopefully run again when asked for his thoughts on dealing with climate change.
“Speed up approvals for nuclear power generation; make cleaner technologies more affordable; set Corp emission standards with penalties for exceeding those, that go directly to a green fund to improve emission output, access Canadian energy to reduce reliance on overseas and imported energy (and the associated energy it takes to get here), quit relying on Chinese lithium for batteries to run solar and start using Canadian Lithium for greener technology, move to a one project one approval process to speed up approval for hydro; tidal technology and other cleaner energy initiatives that currently take so long companies pack up and head to the US. That’s just a few of the common sense ideas that a lot of Canadians are getting behind.”
I take your point about the environment being a top-drawer issue, especially among younger voters. My bet, and I could be full of shit is that inflation, a bad economy and the cost of living will remain stubbornly persistent, at least all the way through 2024 and that means a continued advantage for Team Poilièvre and the CPC.
I happen to believe that Canada is already in recession. We’ll see if that is the right call soon enough.
I thought the homeless and other unhoused people were the only people who were supposed to benefit from urban housing development. I must have missed that JustinMemoTM…
On Tuesday Finance Minister Freeland will release a fiscal update. Or is it a fall economic update? Justin doesn’t bother with economics or fiscal anything, so who knows.
Telford has prepared a script for Justin the actor. We saw an example “My government has been very fiscally prudent”.
I’m reminded of a past statement from Freeland; “Maybe people in the middle class need to decide to take a pay cut.”
As I look around it sure seems like the Liberals, aided by the NDP, are implementing pay cuts for the middle class.
The exceptions are for Liberal insiders and Liberal connected consultants who are raking in big bucks via lucrative government contracts or direct handouts.
Warren,
Yup, some media are giving oxygen to those who either hate or make excuses for same. Hope the owners are listening. They need to take action now against all examples of hate and apologists for hate groups. Fuck editorial independence.
Susan Sarandon, latest useful idiot for white supremacists.

More fake news polls to make the Tru-anons heads explode:

A bunch of them have literally blocked that site so they don’t have to look at them:

Warren,
In foreign capitals, on his best day, Trudeau is nothing more than a pathetic laughingstock. End of story.

The cops, writ-large, aren’t doing and won’t be doing anything across the board until as you sadly predicted someone gets killed.

I got the Two Michaels right but it’s sad that another person had to pay dearly because of it.

Funny how Beijing is not cracking down on TicTok. Draw your own conclusions.
Justin a no show at QP tomorrow:
https://www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/itineraries/2023/11/19/prime-ministers-itinerary-monday-november-20-2023
Not much going on anyway I guess.
Martin,
I don’t know about you but I’m immensely grateful every time Trudeau doesn’t show up: it’s less hard on the ears.
Could be this is why he chickened out?
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/annette-verschuren-resigns-probe-launched-1.7033605
I had a partner on the Via Rail board when Adscam was going on and she literally signed the financial statements. Does this ever have that feel to it.
Trudeau meeting with mayors to discuss how Liberals can profit from urban housing?
That would have been his “excuse”. Fraser said in QP today several times that they would be building millions of housing units. Hilarious.
Millions of housing units?
Guess we’ll have to wait for the the billions of trees Justin is planting to grow up.
Oh wait, they’re not even planted.
Peter,
I thought the homeless and other unhoused people were the only people who were supposed to benefit from urban housing development. I must have missed that JustinMemoTM…
Hey Justin, Jagmeet, et al. Why aren’t you, and the ‘river to the sea’ protesters, etc. protesting/condemning this?

They are calling it a Fall Economic Statement. Photo op at 3:50. Not to be missed. Freeland will be twerking again. Not sure what is up with that.
https://www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/itineraries/2023/11/20/prime-ministers-itinerary-tuesday-november-21-2023
Oh and Justin is going to show up for few minutes for QP:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puwoUKhZQbg&t=9s
And Freeland was twerking again on P and P. What is the matter with her? Serious question.
Warren,
This is pure gold:
‘I haven’t said I would be resigning’ over carbon pricing, Guilbeault tells Senate’
Not another environmental and climate sellout? No kidding. Typically Trudeau Liberal.
