Where are the police?

Anti-Semitism is out of control in this country. Where are the police? Where are the prosecutors?

    Probably at Tim’s…

  2. Warren,

    From The National Post:

‘I felt very very unsafe’: Top Conservative says senators, MPs ‘under attack’ by pro-Palestinian protesters in Ottawa

“Pro-Palestinian protesters harassed and attacked MPs and senators as they gathered for a meeting near Parliament Hill this week, the Conservative Party leader in the Senate says.

Senator Don Plett says he was stopped and harassed by “probably 30 or 40” protesters as he drove into a building for the meeting. They blocked traffic and insisted drivers take pamphlets, and targeted him as he attempted to drive around them.

“They actually jumped on to my car. They were banging on my windows, they were laying on the hood of my car and they were trying to prevent me from moving,” Plett told a meeting of the standing committee on internal economy, budgets and administration. “I’m sure I’m on many pictures now on the Gaza Strip or wherever.”[“]

What’s wrong with so many of these people? Are they terrorists-in-training? You don’t see Jewish groups pulling intimidating and violent stunts like that? And then they wonder why the United States and Canada are such fervent supporters of Israel. Try changing your behaviour bozos and maybe then — and only then — you will finally get a two-state solution. Not before, not ever!

  3. As for the Parliamentary Protective Service (PPS), they should have a far greater budget than they presently have. Their jurisdiction should be extended to any premises in Ottawa where either Senators and/or MPs are meeting. And Director Brookson should be assigned permanent status. Finally, if Parliamentary legislation precludes a director from advocating publicly for his agency, then said legislation should be amended immediately.

Where are they indeed? There is civilian oversight over police services and the state’s prosecutorial arm. We need to ask them (our political leaders) why something isn’t being done.

  5. Warren,

    Finally, a good start.
