KINSELLACAST 299: End times cometh with Lilley, Kheiriddin, Adler, Belanger, Liedtke

  1. Warren,

Anyone who believes that Trump and his simpletons are merely a NATO collection agency is living in fantasy land. If Trump returns to the presidency, he’ll definitely pull the United States out of NATO and then Putin will attack Central Europe in hope of overrunning it. Like you’ve said, the final reckoning isn’t that far off.

  2. Warren,

One either believes in the judicial system or one doesn’t. Does anyone believe that judges, at least at the appellate level, would rule based solely on partisan political motives? Nope, not happening. You will see that occasionally at first instance: some will argue that judges Cannon and Engoron fall into that category. Maybe, maybe not.

  3. Warren,

Why would HimselfTM give all of us the quiet personal satisfaction of finally seeing the back of him, once and for all? Nope, not happening. His inflated ego and humongous sense of pride just won’t allow that.

  4. Warren,

Ukraine is the CPC litmus test on freedom and democracy. Some Conservatives are about to find that out, and it likely will be painful for us.

    • Peter Williams says:

I think it’s a litmus test for the Liberals. Trudeau is good at tweeting and making press releases, but poor at delivering aid.

For example: Where are the 83,000 missiles that Ukraine asked for?

      • Peter,

I take your point and also agree that the Liberals have to be held to account first and foremost since Trudeau forms the government. But the CPC also needs to be held to our commitment of supporting Ukraine 110%. If we fail at that, we’re no better than the Liberals.

      • Martin Dixon says:

And the Liberals can feel good about themselves but no one in a fox hole over there is worried about some law dude wording in a free trade agreement. They would rather have the missiles.

      • Douglas W says:

Lobster Larry (MacAulay), chowing down on a taxpayer-funded trip to Kuala Lumpar, now that’s painful for struggling Canadians.

  5. Martin Dixon says:

Just listening and thought I would take a look at when Justin will be back in the HOC. They just put a three week push on after a couple of months off and now they are sitting two weeks in the next seven. So they are sitting 25 days out of 114. Pretty good work if you can get it.

  6. Warren,

ArriveCan is just another fine example of this Liberal government’s incompetence and endless will to waste taxpayer money on failed or flawed programs. Just typical for this Trudeau government.

  7. Warren,

The Liberals will cave, and will do anything to hold onto power. That’s pretty much the end of it.

  8. Warren,

Housing is a winning issue for us. Taking on mayors, whether fair or not, only helps us politically. They’re easy and convenient targets. It resonates with John and Jane Public who couldn’t afford a house, even if their lives depended on it.

    • Martin Dixon says:

And they don’t normally have much power either politically locally or on council where they just have one vote and they usually are led around by the nose by staff. Very few people have “shaken up city hall”.

  9. Warren,

Manipulators rule the roost with their sophisticated gaslighting and distorted facts. People fall for that, especially those who limit themselves to only one source of so-called information. Trump is the best example of that. People, much to their discredit, willingly lap it up without questioning or critical analysis of what is put out.

  10. Martin Dixon says:

Beach Goons track was a banger. Be interesting to hear what music you select for your 300th show. Prevailing theme seemed to be “there are laws for that and they just need to enforce them”. If the big grocery chains are colluding, charge them. Exactly right. They have very slim margins and when I ask the usual suspects how slim they would like them to be, they all go dark. Because if they are not breaking the law, then you have to dictate a margin. One guy did argue that they will be what they will be but all he was basically saying was that they were breaking the law. So, enforce it.

    • Martin,

Biden has pivoted to ShrinkinflationTM but he’s a bit late to the party. I first saw SI with bars of soap (Dove in my case.) some five-six years ago. Ditto with Kleenex, then still available in Canada.

They are literally just trolling us now.

Saw one Tru-anon today respond to this by saying no one is actually using food banks.

    • Peter Williams says:

      Lobstergate?

Mr MacAulay could have attended this meeting virtually. Much lower carbon footprint.

If climate change (global warming) was a real problem, Liberals, New Democrats, and Greens wouldn’t fly.

More Canadians are going to food banks than ever before, while Liberals are enjoying sumptuous meals expensed to tax payers.

      • Peter,

        IF?

Come on, all of us use cars, 98% of which are ICEs. None of us are giving them up including me.

        • Peter Williams says:

          Ronald

I’m not proposing you or I give up our cars. I’m suggesting Liberal MPs practice what they preach, and give up theirs.

In fact, I may copy all the people who have renewable energy lawn signs on my street and buy a big SUV.

      • Martin Dixon says:

It has never been clear to me why these hypocrites don’t do ALL of their get togethers by zoom. Provide an example to we serfs. Kind of a cool technology that became popular during the plague.I can provide some helpful links.

Saw another geographically challenged genius try to defend Larry by saying everyone east of Quebec thinks lobster is a luxury while he maintains it isn’t. If he had the Tru-anon described “mark of the devil” blue checkmark, he could have edited it.

      • Douglas W says:

Liberal MPs couldn’t care less anymore because the vast majority won’t be seeking re-election.

        • Martin Dixon says:

The usual suspects think this was a win for Larry because he was promoting east coast lobster and it is not considered a luxury there. MMM…kay.

  14. Martin,

Yup, you nailed it. We should concentrated the mind exclusively on artillery, ammunition and missiles. Not a stupid carbon tax…

  15. Martin,

Does this mean that your average Trudeau Liberal regularly dines on lobster, caviar and champagne? Yeah right, none of them luxury items. Get ’em at the food bank now, or if all else fails, at Rideau Cottage, 1 Sussex Drive, Ottawa. K1A 0A1

    • joe long says:

I propose we rename the Liberal Party to the Lobster Party of Canada.

      • Peter Williams says:

        Lobster Party of Canada

I like it. I’m going to use that.

Tuesday the leader of the Lobster Party will fly to Vancouver for a housing announcement and photos.
Later in the day he’ll meet seniors, who don’t get to eat lobster.

Justin Trudeau, flying a lot. It’s nice to be able to expense your meals and booze. Bet he’s having lobster bisque on the flight home.

  16. Curious V says:

I understand that the conservatives are way ahead, but I think that before they win the next election (unless something happens in the interim) they should clarify their position on Ukraine. They should also spend as much time dispelling Putin’s propaganda as they do promoting voodoo economics on youtube.

    • Peter Williams says:

      Voodoo economics?

I suppose you’d like the Conservatives to run massive budget deficits just like the economic experts of Team Trudeau/Singh?

The Liberal/NDP economic view is the budget will balance itself, so let’s spend, spend, spend. And they seem to be making sure they, their friends, and their relatives all get a big piece of the pie.

      • Martin Dixon says:

What specific “voodoo economics” are you saying they are promoting?

      • Curious V says:

Your rational for inflation is flawed and omits basic facts about supply chains and climate change. And, tell me if Pierre would have spent during the pandemic, or would he have allowed the virus to spread and the economy to collapse? when the house is burning, and you have to dowse it with water, expect a bit of water damage.

        • Martin Dixon says:

But he has not unwound all of his pandemic spending. All the people he hired to “get us through the pandemic” are still “working”.

        • Peter Williams says:

          Climate change causes inflation?

According to Liberals, Justin’s flying causes global warming and inflation. Perhaps he should stop flying?

Let’s face it; if global warming was a problem, Liberals like Justin Trudeau wouldn’t fly.

        • Curious,

You keep bringing up these two: supply chains and climate change. Please let us know the correlation between money printing via digitization and these two. So far, you haven’t come anywhere near to explaining these two factors to my satisfaction. Thanks.

  17. Peter Williams says:

Liberals “support” Ukraine, but refuse to ramp up production of artillery shells.

  18. Peter Williams says:

    Trudeau in public:
“At a NATO summit last summer in Vilnius Lithuania, all member countries including Canada signed a pledge to ‘make an enduring commitment to invest at least 2% of our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) annually on defence.’ “

    But in private
“Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has told NATO officials privately that Canada will at no time meet the military alliance’s defence spending target.”

Quotes from Steve Chase article in Globe and Mail.

Justin Trudeau: all talk, all of the time.

  19. Warren,

Political ignorance strikes again in a discriminatory way against TRANS people:

“Poilievre against transgender women in female bathrooms, changing rooms, sports”

OTTAWA – “Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says he believes “biological males” have no place in sports or change rooms that are labelled female.
Poilievre was asked at a news conference Wednesday about his position on whether transgender women should be allowed in spaces that are labelled for women, and whether he would introduce any legislation to stop it.”

First off, this view is based on a presupposition that males who are in transition to female are primarily frequenting female bathrooms because they have some kind of nefarious agenda. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you want to worry about males, keep your eye on heterosexual males trying to sneak into female bathrooms. That’s where the REAL problem lies. Such IGNORANCE…

Finally, it’s called a bathroom for females. As a result, it makes sense for females to decide whether they are comfortable with trans women using the same facilities. As biological males, not in transition, it’s none of our business. If females are not, then a trans bathroom is the way to go.

    • Martin Dixon says:

Ronald, without getting into this issue specifically that the Liberals are again trying to wedge for political purposes, just who is allowed to weigh in? Are you saying that dads of young girls are not allowed to weigh in? I am literally asking for a friend.

As far as the sports part of it, I think you might be surprised just how many progressives would like to protect the progress made by women in the last 50 years. But it sure did not help Melissa Bishop:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q3Sz1ZgL-A&t=12s

      • Martin,

Like everything else, there are gradations here: it’s one thing to be in a bona fide transition either psychological or physical. It’s quite another thing to identify as. Can the latter be considered as part of the Trans process? Maybe Yes, maybe No. For my part, I will defer to the experts both medical and psychological.

Let’s face it, I’m not God with all the right answers but dialogue on this matter is far better than arbitrary conclusions. In my mind, women and Trans people can work it out on a case-by-case basis. They don’t need my input unless they ask for it.

        • Martin Dixon says:

Ronald, like I said, I have a LOT of leftie friends and when it comes to the sports aspect of it, the issue is pretty darn simple. You might as well throw Title IX right out the window. I am really curious as to what the kayaker thinks of at least that part of it. He hasn’t weighed in yet that I can see.

          • Martin,

If you’re doped up on illegal drugs in sports and you test positive post-event, then disqualification is the name of the game whether you happen to be biological whatever, a Trans athlete or Santa Claus. Ir took a long time for WADA and others to get doping where it should be. Just ask Dick Pound if he’s still with us.

          • Martin Dixon says:

Ronald, this is not the same thing. Look at Lia Thomas’s story and tell me that it is fair that women are losing out on medals thanks to her and lots of dads(who you don’t want to give a say to-what is the alternative, have 16 year old females advocate instead or just their moms?) would agree with that.

          • Martin,

Fortunately, we both can agree to disagree without being disagreeable. I will finish with this: doping regulations in 2016 were likely woefully insufficient. I don’t think ANY athlete would get away with anything in 2024 if they’re taking banned substances. So that changes the picture somewhat and alleviates some of the concerns, admittedly not all.

          • Martin,

Well, Wiki has this to say: “Thomas lost muscle mass and strength through testosterone suppression and hormone replacement therapy. Her time for the 500 freestyle is over 15 seconds slower than her personal bests before medically transitioning.”

          • Martin Dixon says:

Ronald, at her level, the drop should be closer to 20 seconds. May not sound like much but fractions of a second can cost you a medal in that sport. She is getting monitored by a high level sports organization and it still results in an unfair result. You are not going to have these high level checks and balances at the county level across the country and the end result will be that female athletes will be in the same boat they were 50 years ago and way more women sympathize with that position than you realize. It does not mean you are anti trans as much as Justin would like to label it as such.

    • Curious V says:

Ronald, it’s just fear mongering. Just like with gay marriage, immigration etc it’s just more fear mongering
