Sean Fraser needs to win his own riding. Occam’s razor. Maybe he was out there because no one will give him any money in his own riding. He is running out of supporters

The Joly potential leadership comments are funny. Let’s hope they are really that stupid. Disagree on what would happen in a debate between Carney and Pierre. I think he would chew him up and spit him out.

    “Thank you so much”

    Literally gold.

I am back and forth on Justin. Warren’s comments on the issue have been consistent and make sense. I just don’t know if the usual rules apply. Plus his team keep literally trolling us. Week after week.

Ha-I see that is from 2019 now. Just so consistent and people were freaking about Ford yesterday NOT in the same manner as when this was done.

    • Curious V says:

Pierre is good at one-liners, spouting off talking points, but I think i9n a meaningful debate about economics Carney would wipe the floor with Pierre.

One of them is an expert, brilliant and a giant in his field – the other a lippy, mouthy shit talking dink

  2. Warren,

I’m now leaning Kinsella! I think the odds are that he’s going to go — but wait for it — here’s how to know for sure: remember when word went out from the PMO a while back for Anand and others to “cool it”? Well, will that happen now, in the coming days? I don’t think so. But if it does, then HimselfTM is staying. Otherwise, he’s already G-O-N-E, as Warren is predicting.

  3. Warren,

Looks like WWIII is not too far off, as we follow the bilateral security model in support of Ukraine: Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Denmark and Italy have all signed agreements.

And then there’s this from DPA International:

“NATO chief Stoltenberg on anniversary: ‘Ukraine will join NATO’

On the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has expressed his certainty that Ukraine’s future lies in the Western defence alliance.

“Ukraine will join NATO. It is not a question of if, but of when,” he said in a video message released on Saturday.”

    FINALLY.

  4. Contrast that with how we went to war in WWI, as per the BBC, after Franz Ferdinand and Sophie were assassinated:

    28 July 1914
    “Europe descends into war
As Europe stands on the brink of war, British proposals for a meeting of the great powers are ignored.

Backed up by Germany, Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia on 28 July. Russia quickly steps in to protect the small nation and mobilises its army. Germany responds by declaring war on Russia. France is Russia’s ally and begins mobilising its forces. As the armies mobilise war becomes almost inevitable. Many believe the war will be a short manageable conflict, but the crisis unfolds so quickly that no statesman is able to regain control of it.

    4 August 1914
    Britain declares war on Germany
Germany attacks France first through neutral Belgium to eliminate any threat from the west before facing Russia in the east.

Britain and the other great powers of Europe guarantee to protect Belgium’s borders. Belgium appeals to Britain and Britain declares war. After Britain’s entry to the war, the German army lays waste to the country. The British Empire is also dragged into the conflict and the war in Europe starts to expand across the globe.”

WWII: Germany invades Poland and security agreements signed with the UK and France are triggered and come into effect. The rest is history.

      Ronald,
Wonderful summation of the two WWs … except this time around, the West, in spite of its bold posturing, is running out of money.

      Huff, and puff, and ……

      • Douglas,

Biden wants to pivot back to QE and digitization money creation. It’s Powell that’s surprisingly blocking that. Just wait until the idiots on Wall Street finally sniff that one out. Hyperinflation here we come, if Biden gets his way. But I digress.

  5. Douglas,

BlackRock? The company allegedly already on very shaky financial ground. Interesting.

  6. Jason says:

Logic would suggest Prince Justin would graciously abdicate by now, but we don’t live in logical times anymore. As horrifically unpopular and incompetent as he is, as long as Pierre Poilievre remains Conservative leader, there’s a chance of this turning around for the Liberals.

By and large, Canadians are not interested in the extremists Poilievre spent 2022 courting and 2023 virtue signaling to. And lest anyone forgets, Poilievre was the man who set off alarm bells around the West when he drafted his legislation to gut Canadian democracy on behalf of his donors back in 2014. I threw my Conservative membership in a fire pit the day that prick was anointed leader, and I won’t be forgiving him – even if it means the alternative is being saddled with more of the Dreamboat-in-chief.
