Carney is gonna win, I think so anyway. No matter who wins, and I think carney is the best for the job, they will have a monumental task in front of them, but we might come out of it in better shape – it’s gonna take time and there’s gonna be a lot of pain

The Canadian voter does tend to be a low IQ voter that bases decisions on emotions they’re told to have rather then taking the time to figure out what is actually best for them. There’s a good chance with the latest snapshots from easterners intentions this may happen again and they’ll deserve everything that comes their way. Good luck if you think Carney will save your auto industry. The west will get by once again. We always do. Just don’t come to us looking for sympathy. You won’t get it. Keep your phoney Team Canada to yourselves. We really know its Team Eastern Canada.

    • John,

Of course, most voters are very low IQ. That’s why groupthink flourishes in Atlantic Canada, parts of Quebec, most of Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and parts of BC and the territories. In short, because people are stupid and lazy group thinkers with little to no room for dissent or another political point of view. That’s what we all have in common in this country, and it’s what we so richly deserve.

My Goodness is the election tomorrow?

  4. Douglas+W says:

Trump hands Carney the win because … Trump believes Carney is far more easy to manage?

  5. Warren,

ClunkyTM leads in most polls since March 15th…

    Liaison: Liberals +7.

  6. Warren,

The With Mark Carney ad is a good one.

  7. Pedant says:

Do you mean schadenfreude by the Boomers in regards to young citizens for having the temerity to force their issues into the national spotlight through Poilievre? The freedom convoy was a natural reaction to COVID authoritarianism that saw healthy young people forced into house arrest for two years. Their reward for their sacrifice was a housing crisis and chronic shelter insecurity.

    • Dink Winkerson says:

Ohh pointing out a good reason for the convoy demonstration. Minus 10 social points.

    • Martin Dixon says:

Many of the baby boomers I grew up with are selfish, spoiled and entitled. And they just smugly assume that folks like me share their views. When I explain to them that their kids will literally disproportionately fund my retirement and I thank them for their service, they have nothing and go back to their gummies and the CBC.

    • Derek Pearce says:

The freedumb convoy was a temper tantrum by self-centred yahoos to myopic to think about anybody but themselves, the sick & old be damned. “Young people” were not feeling forced into house arrest gimme a break. Please go use Tamara Lich’s talking points elsewhere.
I can’t wait for the Liberal ad reminding people that PP brought Timmies to the convoy assholes, that could be the nail in the coffin of the Conservative campaign.

      • Dink Winkerson says:

Sorry we must have attended another Covid lock down. My deepest apologies.

      • Martin Dixon says:

Except he is not wrong about the fact that the cure was much worse than the disease for the young. The wealth shift from the inflationary programs made housing unaffordable while baby boomers and civil servants(Carney’s current selfish base) made out like bandits. And we will continue to do so under Carney.

      • Pedant says:

What year did you purchase your first home Derek? Retired I presume? Who wouldn’t love sitting at home during lockdown watching the value of their $2 million home, purchased for $60000 in 1979, rise in value every day tax-free thanks to grotesque and immoral intervention by the Bank of Canada and government, while smugly telling themselves they’re doing something virtuous. Sucks to be the unfortunate schmos that actually have to work and earn a paycheque to pay the 30% income tax, right?

Canadians were indeed forced into lockdown off and on for two years. Authoritarian measures like invasive random testing of travellers continued in Canada far longer than in any other country aside from China.

        • Martin Dixon says:

Everyone says we need to pivot. But to pivot, we need to attract the Toronto baby boomers. No thanks. I would rather keep my integrity intact comforted by the fact that the wealth shift will continue in my direction than cater to a bunch of folks that can’t handle a little snow and think the world revolves around them. Thank god I got out. I guess that makes me an ideologically pure conservative according to Warren(and I must have had a reset since I voted for his boss!). Except I am neither angry nor anti-social. Quite frankly, I am enjoying the bright side. So, there’s that.

          • Martin,

But with respect, an election is about winning. No pivot, no win. The CPC has spent enough time in opposition. One would think that the leader and caucus would naturally do all that was necessary to win, no matter who led the Liberals. So far, we’ve dropped the ball and time is running out.

          • Martin Dixon says:

From Kershaw in the Globe today:

“There is no fixing Canada’s housing woes until parties acknowledge the harm many young Canadians endure to protect $1.5-trillion in housing wealth windfalls, and offer a plan to compensate them. Let this be the election when political leaders and older homeowners stop taking for granted the protection provided by millennials and Gen Z, and instead recognize it for what it is – a remarkable show of intergenerational solidarity they offer at their own expense.”

Pierre is the only one talking about it. Selfish baby boomers using the T situation as an excuse to keep the grift going.

  8. A. Voter says:

From what I’ve read, Trump cannot impose tariffs by himself. Congress can veto an executive order. The courts can also veto an executive order if it violates the constitution. Canadian media are acting like Trump acts alone in the American system.

  9. Pedant,

Give it a rest. It ain’t getting majority government traction as you’ll find out in technicolour on April 28th!

  10. Warren,

At least during COVID we didn’t follow the American idiots. That’s why we don’t have 1,219487 dead from COVID.
