Is this still on ? The last I read was that it was cancelled ,and they sent a letter to City Council instead. (From their website)

I don’t know about this. Won’t driving Ford out of office just give him a martyr platform to run on and just galvinize his fanatical base to action?
I wonder if it’s just better to keep asking Ford about his “recovery”, document his failure, work around him as council has done and let him fully destroy any possible future in politics (hopefully taking his brother with him. ).

Glad to see these poll numbers because I’m so sick of the media saying that Ford Nation is still onboard. Ford Nation is dead. Adam Vaughan said it best: Ford Nation is a failed state.
I know Ford is a grade-a asshole and all, but calling him “Mayor Crackhead” is pretty disparaging considering the guy is also a hapless addict. There is, after all, a reason why substance abuse is considered a protected disability in workplaces around the country, and it’s because addiction is debilitating. More to the point, it’s not like it’s hard to make the case that he’s the crappiest of all crappy mayors without mocking him because of his (genuine) disability.
Obviously he needs to go, but there’s better ways to communicate that than “Mayor Crackhead”.
In workplaces where addiction is considered a genuine disability, time off is given for an employee to GO TO REHAB AND GET HELP WITH THEIR ADDICTION. Mayor Crackhead refuses to do so. Hence the moniker.
I caught a few moments of Real Time with Bill Maher last night. (This particular episode ran a few days after Halloween.)
Maher brought up Rob Ford’s name. The comedian he was chatting with made a very astute observation:
“There are only two ways that guy is ever going to leave office: on a stretcher or in handcuffs.”
