Intelligence officers: “[Trump] will die in jail”

Wow. Check this out.

On Wednesday, former NSA intelligence analyst John Schindler provided some insight into the reaction of national security officials.

“Now we go nuclear,” he wrote on Twitter. “[Intelligence community] war going to new levels. Just got an [email from] senior [intelligence community] friend, it began: ‘He will die in jail.’”

“US intelligence is not the problem here,” Schindler added in another tweet. “The President’s collusion with Russian intelligence is. Many details, but the essence is simple.”

Yup…if the chatter is even partially true, President Ryan is becoming more plausible by the day. Will Trump voluntarily go…or will he have to be removed?

    • Steve T says:

And they’d better remove some of Trump’s power (like his access to nuclear codes) before they drop the hammer. I wouldn’t put it past him to adopt a scorched earth policy if he sees the end is near.

    Pence would pardon him…

Paul Ryan is a right-wing extremist and nut bar, but at least he’s not a moron.

    Put that on a t-shirt!

They do have a reputation of throwing people down into the dungeon and visiting all kinds of wickedness on them down there in Langley.

(We’re not painting these creeps, thugs, and lying murderers as some kind of saviours of democracy, are we?)

John Schindler is, hands down, my favourite security commentator.

I’ve been keeping up with his Twitter for a while now and his insights into the Trump-Russia axis and the various other FBI/CIA issues have been incredibly informative. In fact, John had been signalling the Mike Flynn domino for a while now and to see it come to fruition is scary.

Just as wow, Newsweek article just released, NATO allies holding so much nasty evidence, and talking about it. Personally, I think documentary evidence of payments received by Trump from the Philippine Presidente’s agent, and Trump business associate is going to cost the un-President his job, if something else doesn’t get him quicker.

Let’s hope. I think the words “Trump” and “treason” will soon be spoken together, frequently.

Republicans better decide quickly whether they ride this ship to the bottom of the ocean, or hit the lifeboats and let Trump go down with Bannon and his other sycophants.

The speed of developments here is head-spinning. And interesting that this information is being called illegal leaks, and not unfounded lies.

Another thing – oaths of secrecy don’t cover threats to the state. If you come across info that may indicate a threat to the state, you’d be duty-bound to report it. Who you report it to is another matter. Pretty obvious that the US would restrict national security information to those who are properly cleared, and who have a need to know.

So then the question is, is the information we’re getting considered restricted information? Is the mere fact that someone called their good buddy and bridge partner Vladimir restricted? Or is it what we may have talked about that is the restricted part? Or both?

When this is all over, I hope some insightful sage writes a book on the role of Twitter in today’s political landscape. Would Trump have won either the nomination or election without it? Would his presidency be seen as less chaotic and scary without those crazy tweets? Would all this fevered, inchoate rage against him about everything he says and does be getting such traction? Would we even be hearing from intelligence officials and experts? I’m beginning to get pretty alarmed about its role in the breakdown of government and fueling of public hatreds.

Remember when the inventors of social media told us it would help us all connect and come closer together and how we all wanted to believe them? Right.

What I fear is a ‘deep state’ coup attempt to overthrow Trump and then the 2nd Amendment vigilantes decide to march on Wash. D.C. and the police and national guard are overwhelmed as several GOP and DEM politicians are assassinated. Also the Media Establishment is attacked and sent underground in fear of their lives. The anti-Trump people will be forced to hide and even flee the country to Canada and Mexico for political asylum.

As Commander-in Chief, Trump would be forced to call on the Army loyalist officer corp to clean out the swamp and declare martial law as the USA goes into a convulsion that rips their democracy apart. Could happen.. and Canada would suffer immeasurably.

Any more reliable sources than rawstory.com that is unabashedly, proudly open about their collective hatred of the GOP?

The stars are aligning for a civil war south of the 49th. Somebody up above in the comments alluded to the fact that the white hats in Langley now riding to the rescue have a lot of dirt on them. A military/intel putsch would not be an ideal solution.
And then there is the matter of getting Pence out of the way… shall we say Agnewing him out of the way. Been done before; could be done again. But anyway you look at it, what you are left with are the smoking ruins of the first American Republic with the reinvigorated Confederacy in command of whats left of the elected superstructure. Very ugly prospect. Trud would be left with hideous problems which just defy solution.

Perhaps Canada could lead an OAS coalition to ‘stabilize’ the situation…you know, Right to Protect’ and all that. Would that be delicious?

  13. Mark says:

Why is it that I fear that pipsqueak Stephen Miller more than Bannon? That guy clearly has never absorbed the Constitution.

  14. Derek Pearce says:

Well this is what happens you declare war on peeps whose specialty is toppling govts.

Just a notice that this guy has a bit of history like Anthony Weiner. Attention seeker, photo taker/sender, hidden agenda honcho. Google is your friend.
