A Trump-Russia bombshell must have been coming

…so he made another kind of bombshell, to distract. MOAB: Mislead, Obstruct, Antagonize, Baffle.

CNN:

Washington – The US military has dropped an enormous bomb in Afghanistan, according to four US military officials with direct knowledge of the mission.

A GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb (MOAB), nicknamed the “mother of all bombs,” was dropped at 7:32 pm local time Thursday, the sources said. A MOAB is a 21,600-pound, GPS-guided munition that is America’s most powerful non-nuclear bomb.

The bomb was dropped by an MC-130 aircraft, stationed in Afghanistan and operated by Air Force Special Operations Command, Pentagon spokesman Adam Stump told CNN.

Officials said the target was an ISIS cave and tunnel complex and personnel in the Achin district of the Nangarhar province.

Oh, and look at this report. What a coincidence.

Indictments imminent? Drop a MOAB.

One source suggested the official [FBI] investigation was making progress. “They now have specific concrete and corroborative evidence of collusion,” the source said. “This is between people in the Trump campaign and agents of [Russian] influence relating to the use of hacked material.”

It’s a message for North Korea I’d say …. the real distraction is the supposed tension with Russia which I’m betting are a complete fabrication designed to preserve his base and undermine claims of collusion

This fool is really going to do it, he’s going to eventually launch a nuke. Too bad Trump is more like Martin Sheen in Dead Zone rather than Martin Sheen in West Wing, world would be a much safer place.

  3. Smoke ’em if you got ’em. He’s going to kill us all. Probably with a Tweet.

In one week, Trump has authorized two completely fucking useless bombings. His mission in Syria accomplished absolutely nothing but put him on Russia’s bad side. And his mission in Afghanistan was completely out the purview of the US’s current-day foreign mission; not to mention a direct contradiction of his own beliefs related to what a bottomless pit of responsibility Afghanistan is for the US and how America shouldn’t be doing anything there. Not to mention, he’s now distancing himself from Bannon, making Kushner the defacto President and stuffed Kellyanne into a closet somewhere.

Trump is trying desperately now to appeal to outside of his support base. He’s trying to speak and behave like one would expect a President to, but its going to ruin him. He didn’t get elected to be the same and now that he sees the on-coming train and he’s doing whatever he thinks would make the mainstream happy and preoccupy the media.

Donald Trump’s entire saga has been like playing with matches while waste-deep inside of a drum of gasoline — eventually, shit is going to blow-up in your face.

Could be a few people who voted for Trump/Pence are beginning to count their tax dollars: Adding $50+ billion to an already huge military outlay for the coming year; 59 missiles at $1 1/2 million a pop; $315 million bomb today;…Snowden has retweeted something about the bomb today targeting tunnels financed by the CIA for the Soviet resisting Mujahadeen in the 1980’s.

(I hope some of my pension fund in invested in USA weapons industry. Those people must be drinking toasts to this admin.)

It was over $300M for 20 bombs, not just for 1 bomb. Meaning he has 19 left. One with Pyongyang’s name on it. You can’t drop a nuclear bomb on Pyongyang without affecting South Korea.

Bottom line is that by blowing up infrastructure that the U.S. paid/built with Osama bin Ladin, a threat was sent to the psycho in North Korea.

I agree that Syria was a “Wag the Dog”, the nuclear option used to get his supreme court appointee in went completely under the radar. Also effective in creating a Putin-Trump NOT brothers-in-arms narrative.

HOWEVER, I agree with the use of the MOAB to send a message to North Korea. They have been warned. I have seen or heard of no deaths as a result of the first use of the MOAB.

The crazy thing happening right now in the States is the great split occurring in the Democratic Party. The group who rightly oppose Trump, and those under the influence of other forces who support Trump’s apparent warmongering. A splitting of the Democrats would be great for the Republicans in 2018 and beyond.

BTW, the Bannon vs. Kushner (and Ivanka) play is what I really am interested in. Talk about two completely different advisors. I am sure most would disagree here, but I fear Bannon less than Kushner.

Unless Bannon can quickly end up like Dustin Hoffman in “Wag the Dog”, I foresee Bannon being key to the quick impeachment of Trump and rise of Pence.

I wonder if Pense gets a pass on all the Russian stuff.
            President Ryan anyone…

          • MississaugaPeter says:

No, Pence is clean. He was nowhere in Trumpland until the very end. I am sure Trump will try to get him replaced by Kushner if Bannon gets a heart attack/stroke/food poisoning/shot. Bannon knows the dirt. Pence doesn’t, but is an impediment to another family member succeeding Trump.

I think Pence has balls for going to South Korea when Trump could start a war with North Korea any moment.

Pence has been the most loyal lapdog around. IMO, he is doing a great job. Along with @anonscan, @wikileaks, @potus, I read Pence’s tweets @vp religiously. May not agree with him about a lot of things, but I sense he is a decent dude.

The MOABs (really stands for Massive Ordnance Air Blast) was supposedly designed in 2002 and built in 2003, so they were technically payed by taxpayers of a previous administration, just like the Tomahawks used in Syria.

Technically payed, really means the charge was in that year. But since it was a deficit year, Americans today and their children and grandchildren tomorrow, will end up paying on the interest and principal (if ever) for the long foreseeable future.

    • Kevin says:

Put him on Russia’s bad side? Perhaps. But he bombed Syria. He avoided bombing Russia.

  5. Eric Weiss says:

So the MOAB killed 36 ISIS fighters. That’s roughly 450K per bad guy. USA USA USA!

    Warren,

Only the gut truly knows and this one says that Trump Team collaboration with the Russians will outblast the MOAB. Not even close. There he was, Mr. America!
