I take back the credit I gave to Trump

So. This Pentagon statement. Read it.

I take back the credit I gave Trump, below. Why? Because he gave the Syrians and Russians a head’s up. Seriously.

He hit a bunch of empty airplane hangars and a couple tool sheds.  Best case.

So, you’re saying the roughly $70 million worth of Tomahawks used tonight wasn’t worth it?

    😉

Not sure I’d want to see a lot of Russians get taken out.

60 cruise missiles, there ain’t much of that air base left to talk about. That’s a pile of critical military infrastructure turned into dust and smoking rubble. And a nation the size of Syria hasn’t got a lot of it to spare.

No, the main point being made here, IMHO, is that this POTUS doesn’t bluff, and isn’t going to stand for the kind of bullshit on which the last gutless POTUS reliably turned his back.

This was a message, loud, clear, and to the point…and not just to the Syrians.

Or as the old saying puts it, “There’s a new sheriff in town.”

It’s about bloody well time, too!

Obama – who ordered a record number of drone strikes and took out Bin Laden. Yeah, what a do-nothing layabout.

    • Robert Frindt says:

“B. Obama organized the removal of Syria’s chemical weapons…”

      He sure did.

If large numbers of Russians or Syrians were killed, many “progressives” would already be calling for war crimes investigations.

      • Warren says:

This progressive would happily kill al-Assad with his bare hands, but then bring him back to life, just so I could kill him again. I’d rather enjoy it.

Tvzvezda, Rus Defense media outlet, is reporting there was no USA notice to Russian forces.

  4. Eric Weiss says:

Putin is never going to give Trump permission to bomb anything important.

“To jaw-jaw is always better than to war-war.” -Sir Winston Churchill……

If indeed the gas attacks did come from Assad, which I still have my doubts about, better a shot across the bow or a whiff of grapeshot for Assad than a full out battle royale with Vladmir Putin…..This is not Libya, nor Grenada…..and if the US involves itself seriously in Syria, this will become another quaqmire like Iraq only with the chance of escalation with Russia and/or Iran……
The US military/industrial complex must be peeing down their legs with excitement, however……

    Nothing more than redirection.

Assange/Wikileaks asked what will Trump do once his poll numbers started going below 30%.

    Then posted Trump’s 2012 tweet.

Not telling Russia, and Russia having planes and personnel there, could start a bigger war than Syrian regime change.

Nothing more than “wag the dog”. Totally disgusted how American presidents use this tactic. Remember Clinton’s 4-day tomahawk war with Iraq (google “Monica’s War). Disgusted then. Disgusted today. Have always praised Clinton’s presidency except for the aforementioned.

Assad is evil. No question. But not informing Russia and getting into a war with them over it, is even more evil to me. The world is in a downward spiral. Even the Church is in a schism. Can honestly say not since I was almost 8, when I feared that the world was going to split as a result of Canniken, do I fear what is happening around us.

Trump lost parts of his base today.

My conspiratorial take: Trump knew in advance he was not getting anything from China yesterday and today, and had to redirect.

Hi ..do not know what intelligence US has but something had to be done…if chemical weaponry becomes the norm we are all doomed …that deoesnt make it any less of a quagmire but this is much more important that pepsi ads.. even Hillary agreed…maybe Trump is her puppet

    • dave constable says:

I guess it depends who made the gas attack in Khan. Could be that Al Nusra/El Qaeda figure they now have a sure fire way of calling in American air strikes.

  8. Charlie says:

In his own words, Trump has described announcing an attack prior to launching it as being “stupid and incompetent”.

So its only fitting that this fuck-tard would do exactly that in this situation.

Plus, he’s gotta get the OK from his masters in Moscow or we could all be watching snippets of the Pee-Pee tape on the evening news very soon.
