Meanwhile American 24/7 news yesterday and today has their anchors and guests frothing at the mouth to get us all to buy the story that, with the Syrian army having some successes and peace talks getting going in Geneva a few days, the Syrian regime decided to use sarin on people in a small Syrian community. An outrage! Do something. Make more war.
Tweets I am following from the Middle East (Lebanon and Syria) are giving a different story, but those warriors on American tv news sure do want to ramp up the violence. The photos and vids I have seen sure back up the contrarian tweets from the Middle East, though.
Not sure of your point. Are you suggesting that Assad didn’t actually use poison gas? There have been news agencies from around the world (not just the U.S.) who have reported on this horrific incident, and they have all come to the same conclusion. The only group claiming anything else, that I’m aware of, is the Syrian government itself. They claim that their bombs hit an ISIS “gas factory”. However, I’ve heard numerous experts (from the UK, France, and many other non-US countries) debunk this claim on the news today.
So while Trump and his cohorrts remain inept morons, who couldn’t govern their way out of a paper bag, I don’t think your conspiracy theory about American media is particularly accurate.

I have seen a number of news reports, an d a couple of news agencies, from around the world report on the incident. I see them repeating claims by the leaders of USA, UK and France that Assad regime did it. (These are the 3 regimes that wan to replace Assad). I don’t see reports or agencies concluding that the USA/French/UK leaders are right.
The only report i saw refuting the Russian suggestion that it could have been a bomb hitting chemical weapons supplies came from a British fellow who has chemical weapons credentials of some kind. I have seen no others.
The news outlets claiming the Assad regime is guilty, and that action has to be taken are CNN, and what I have read on MSNBC.
Which news agencies do you see concluding that the Assad regime is guilty?
I mentioned context: the Syrian military has been doing well recently, making gains; I understand dozens of nations are meeting in Brussels(my mistake – not Geneva) to come up with a peace plan. I’ll add, a few days ago the Trump administration said that removing Assad was not necessary to a peaceful resolution in Syria. To me, the Syrian regime would be cutting its own throat to do this crime…the al qaida/nusra groups, and those in Washington that want Assad gone and have been working a decade and a half on a Middle East redo would gain from this.
I saw the US Ambassador to the United Nations this morn, and her predecessors, Powers and Powell easily came to mind.
You may be right. The regime might be guilty, but I see a lot of hasty verdicts rolling in. We’ve been stampeded before.
Maybe the was a cleaver ploy by Tillerson and the State Department to keep Trump from saying anything stupid that gets a million people killed.
