Don’t worry about the CO2 enhanced heat wave. I’m sure he has a plan to cover up for that fact that he has no idea about what to do about it.

Sending billions of dollars to California (which was what the Ontario Liberal Cap and Trade plan amounted to) is not a solution to Climate Change.

    • whyshouldIsellyourwheat says:

Impoverishing ordinary Ontarians by making them pay outrageous electricity rates for guaranteed windfall profiteering by Bay Street Liberal financiers for solar and wind energy, and handing ordinary Ontarians the bill for connecting all that power to the grid, when that power does not have a 99% availability is NOT a solution to Climate Change.

      • doconnor says:

So you support a carbon tax high enough to meet emission targets need to limit warming to 2 degrees?

        • whyshouldIsellyourwheat says:

The only solution to climate change is a steadily increasing increasing wealth tax on the global 0.5%. They are the only one’s with the capital to affect change. So they use it to affect change or lose it.
The superrich would receive rebates from the tax for measurable reduction in carbon emissions.

Their wealth was accumulated primarily from the system that produced all that carbon. So they have an obligation to use that wealth to sove the problem.

A carbon tax is a fine idea in theory, but in practice, only the middle and working classes end up paying the carbon tax. The poor get it rebated. And the wealthy get it rebated through subsidies or, hedge in the markets to mitigate it, or view it as a nuisance tax. The working and middle classes don’t have enough capital to affect change to solve the crisis, so all a “boiling the frog” carbon tax will do is impoverish the working and middle classes and accelerate wealth inequality.

Solving the climate crisis is the responsibility of the superwealthy who profited from its creation.

Putting the super wealth in charge of fixing climate change would mean it would be done in a way that makes them richer.

A carbon tax would allow everyone to make thier own choices on how to best reduce thier emissions. Also the working and middle class would get all or most of thier tax rebated back, too.

The “‘solution” to climate change is learning how to adapt to it, since there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop it. The climate has been constantly changing for 4 billion years, and the Medieval Warm Period and Little Ice Age destroy the hysterical narrative that mankind is somehow responsible for any recent changes. Don’t be fooled… this is all about making BILLIONS of dollars, and always was.

I’ve said this more than once here: follow the money. Ask yourself who benefits the most financially from manipulating, ‘adjusting’ (that’s my personal favorite) and outright *falsifying* temperature readings to make it appear that we are heading for a “Climate Catastrophe!!”

All my best to you, and yours, on CANADA Day, Warren. This is most assuredly the finest country in the entire world, and we are fortunate beyond all others.

    Cheers, Eh!
