It’s always about her

It’s almost like she running for office against someone with a big lead on her.

Seriously, I don’t agree with her on everything, but I want some as TO Mayor who will fight Premier Doug Ford and make his life hell so he’ll be too busy to keep making everyone else’s life hell.

Dude she’s campaigning. If you were her campaign war room you’d advise the exact same thing. Tory is (again, honourable, a gentleman) but he’s a 98lb weakling dealing with Ford. I want him to fight harder dammit.

There’s a disruptor as premier with a majority and a caucus who is willing to throw the minority of Torontonians who voted for them under the bus.

Given the mood of the electorate, being a disruptor as mayor sounds like a reasonable campaign strategy.

If she can someone align herself as being someone who will work with Ford, she could also pull out the RobFordNation vote for herself.

And if the feds aren’t going to make premier disruptor stop messing with free and fair elections, we know there’s enough voters to succeed with this tactic.

I have no skin in this game (although I’m beyond appalled at changing election rules mid-election.)

There’s quite a bit of room for criticism of both sides here, but I’m sorry, anybody who is “beyond appalled” over the size of a municipal council needs a hobby. This is hardly an issue where the future of our children or of civilization as we know it hangs in the balance. But nonetheless we have a lower court judge who thinks he’s some kind of Charter Sir Galahad and a premier who is hurls constitutional wrecking balls over it. It seems being appalled is all the rage these days.

      O tempora! O mores!
