Himself likes to quite deliberately underestimate the intelligence of Canadians. The more he thinks we’ll fall for his bullshit fear-mongering, the more they will escalate that effort of outright lies. Trudeau Liberals play Canadians for fools who they think not only can be easily bought but who they believe after receiving the $ will reflexively go out and reward Trudeau with a re-election, along with a highly expected majority. I don’t think so.
Impressive announcements from O’Toole re. foreign real-estate ownership and safe injection sites. There’s no plausible reason not to vote for O’Toole if you are NDP leaning.
NDPers should start thinking about voting strategically. You might not like O’Toole, but its the only way to stop Justin from coming back.
The NDP think they have influence with Justin Trudeau, so they will support him.
In reality Justin plays the NDP just like Lucy played Charlie Brown kicking a football. Remember the NDP boasted about extracting paid sick leave from Justin Trudeau in return for their support. Funny Justin is promising paid sick leave in this campaign.
As a Conservative supporting strategist, I would offer this piece of advice to others running the war room strategy: the victory can be a conditional mandate, a strong mandate or a resounding one from the Canadian people.
For the latter to happen, we need to run our campaign constantly as if we’re perpetually the underdog and behind in the polls. Our day to day strategy has to be as sharp and as pivotal as a knife’s edge.
The other thing is the dispersal of our regional provincial and territorial lieutenants, or better yet one individual star candidate who will speak publicly for the leader, caucus and the party in the following weeks. This person will be thoroughly briefed and a master of the regional file and they in concert with the national war room will draft and deliver the regional strategies that will resonate with potential and actual voters and actually change more minds in our party’s favour, than policies delivered at the national level by the leader on a daily basis.
Here’s a hint: in NS, the guy’s name is MacKay.

Here’s where we have to disagree. Peter has been on top of everything that takes place in his riding even while practicing law in TO. Now, he’s returned to Nova Scotia. In my book, no one, and I mean no one in the CPC knows the crucial issues facing NS better than MacKay does. It’s a no-brainer that even the campaign in Ottawa can see. Party and country come first and that means for Team O’Toole to put their differences with Peter aside and offer him a substantial role in this campaign and after we form government. Remember, this isn’t the knife in your back party. This is Erin’s party now and it’s his job as leader to do right by Peter MacKay. Period.
True Conservatives stick together: that’s why MacKay will soon get from me close to two thousand clams to help him pay off his leadership debts. Hope most Conservatives will pay what they can in the same spirit. Thank you.
Meanwhile, Himself is his usual bald-faced liar in this campaign claiming that O’Toole and the CPC favour a private health care system in Canada. In other words, a two-tier health care system. In short, bullshit.
O’Toole has pledged to increase federal transfers to the provinces by six percent per year. Funny eh how that fact has conveniently escaped Himself and the Liberal campaign. Imagine that.
Two tier health system… Who TF are we kidding?! Its already here. I paid $4 for my dental bill the other day. 80 % of the people I work with will pay almost $200 for the exact same treatment. Dental care is preventative health care and should be accessible to all.

Excellent point. I always pay out of pocket myself. Some have dental insurance and most don’t.
Has any media outlet printed a list of Justin’s broken promises?
It could be a several page spread.
