We get letters: nice bunch, those Poilievre fans

  1. Warren,

It would be nice if this “person” was among the 200K who did not vote. Just saying.

  2. Scot says:

White trash lowlifes. Not sure how any decent person can vote conservative these days. The old no4mal fiscal conservative is a thing of the past.

    • Scot,

Seriously, do you really think that a lot of Conservatives are like this kook? There’s no indication whatsoever that it is part of the CPC, the PPC or any other party. But then again, you are good at stretching the rubber band even to the point where it breaks aren’t you.

      • Pipes says:

Once again Mr. O’Dowd, you are way ahead of me. I am stuck on-if Warren ‘shuts his mouth’ then how can he be a ……..”? Anyway I will apply further thinking on this.

      • Sean says:

Exactly. Pierre Poilievre is no Conservative.

      • PJH says:

Short answer Mr. O’Dowd: Yes, based on what I had to deal with in calling to determine support. Perhaps you weren’t in the trenches. I was. And what I heard numerous times disgusted me. I have left the Conservative Party, as I want no part of PP or his ilk.
I’m looking forward to the weenie roast post Federal election.

        • PJH,

Those people who were impolite and uncivilized are classic pieces of shit. And rest assured, they will get what they have coming to them.

I would like the leader to tackle this problem immediately. It should be a top priority for his incoming OLO IMHO. After all, to do nothing both privately and publicly will paint him with the same brush in the minds of most voters. Quite obviously, he’s smart enough to take decisive action and as soon as possible.

          • Scot says:

You jump all over Trudeau for petty-nobody gives a shit scandals but turn yourself inside out trying to sanitize the fucked up entity called the Conservative party. Sometimes loyalty is not the answer.

          • PJH says:

Do you really think PP gives a shit? Have you become an apologist now for the Conservative Party?….Please.

I rue the day I ever drank the blue kool-aid. We ruined a perfectly good political party by joining with these a**holes….For that is what a good many of them are…..including the current leader.

          • Scot,

I’m not sanitizing anything. I’m just saying that as a leader who wants to win next time, PP is smart enough to do something about it. He will no doubt denounce this publicly and sideline those who don’t conform to the riot act. It’s called an intelligent strategic decision and a decent one at that.

          • PJH,

Well, we’ll definitely find out which way he’s decided to roll as leader in short order. And he will live with the end results.

I voted against the merger with no regrets. But I want to see how this plays out before I make a definitive value judgment. But I hear you and respect your decision.

          • Or put another way: what would Harper do both publicly and privately about these POS when we’re eventually going into an election that could make the leader PM?

He’d put them in their place in a New York minute and tell them to shut the fuck up. Otherwise, they would be RAPIDLY shown the door for good. Harper would never, ever, have put up with this shit, period.

      • Scot says:

What you don’t seem to get Ronald is that PP can’t put these whackos in their place because they represent a good 20-25% of the Conservative vote. You also have to wonder why these wankers are attracted to the Conservative party (ideology).

  3. EsterHazyWasALoser says:

I had no idea they were so literate!

  4. PJH says:

After losing count the number of times I was told to F off or go F myself when calling Conservative Party members to determine their voting intentions…..I wouldn’t touch PP or his crew with a ten foot barge pole.
Supporters of other candidates were generally pleasant…..Big shout out to the people of Atlantic Canada, who were, nine times out of ten, very pleasant on the phone…..but the PP types?….toxic, angry troglodytes the lot of them….

    • PJH,

Honestly, I had no idea but I want to apologize to you for their behavior. But oafs will be oafs and even better, what goes around, comes around. God will see to that in his own way and most deliciously, in his own time.

  5. PJH,

Hum. Strange computer problems are back with posting comments. Anyway, honestly I had no idea but I want to apologize to you for their behaviour. But oafs will be oafs and even better, what goes around, comes around. God will see to that in his own way and most deliciously, in his own time. Each of those oafs can count on that.

  6. PJH,

In politics, we make our own bed and so they shall individually. They can count on it.

  7. Sean says:

I wonder who will replace Pierre Poilievre, probably about 18 months from now, once the inevitable, historically monumental humiliation has concluded.

He has no hope, not even a faint prayer of performing as well as Scheer or O’Toole. Poilievre will make Preston Manning look like a genius…make Joe Clark look like a cunning Machiavellian wizard.

It was really sad to see the Conservative Party pack it in and give up this way.

If Conservative donors just lit their money on fire, at least they’d save the time of sending it to the campaign office for this hopeless cause.

Canada now has no choice but to vote in favor of Justin’s endless corruption, inflation, deficits, lies, racism and sexism. Make no mistake. Canadians will line up and do that… and the Conservative Party of Canada made it happen.

    • PJH says:

Perfect synopsis Sean. I actually am looking forward to PP having to resign on election night…the defeat will be so bad.

My feeling is Peter MacKay, once his debt is cleared, will probably try another kick at the can…..once the Refoormers methods and policies(and let’s make no mistake….that is what the Conservative Party has become) have been thoroughly discredited at the polls. Perhaps then, and only then, the Refooorm brain trust will grab a clue…but I wont hold me breath. Holding on to the keys of the Refooorm fiefdom is far more important to them than becoming gov’t.

      • Sean says:

I’d never elevate the likes of Pierre Poilievre to be referenced with the Reform Party. They were at least law and order types. Pierre Poilievre will never attain the status or credibility of Preston Manning.

    • Scot says:

Trudeau is the successful leader of the number 1 country in the world with the best performing economy in the G7. Get a grip.

      • Sean says:

Justin is the most disgraced Prime Minister in the history of Canada.

Losing the popular vote twice is not a legacy the Liberal Party should ever be proud of.

At the convention to replace him, he should be barred from addressing the floor to even make his farewell speech.

Normalizing Justin is only adding to the damage that will need to be repaired after he leaves.

        • Scot says:

Talk about pure bullshit. You win the prize. The popular vote canard is a laugh. 90% of greens and dippers would vote for Trudeau if their only other choice was Conservative. But you keep on deluding yourself. Don’t cry too hard when he wins again.

          • Scot,

Of course they will but the real question is whether they ACTUALLY vote or just sit it out? You don’t know for sure and I don’t know.

Like I said before, plenty are sick of him and/or his face. Now, accurately quantifying it is the real “rub”. LOL.

          • Sean says:

What bullshit? The guy finished 2nd twice in total votes because he’s a proven loser. No Liberal Leader has ever performed so badly and been allowed to stick around. Prove me wrong. Name one. Didn’t think so.

Do you think if Justin tries really hard next time, *really really hard* he might even get as many votes as the Conservatives? When did the Liberal Party become so non-competitive? When did we settle for “I guess we sort of won by legal technicalities”.

The sooner Justin moves on the sooner the new leader can start apologizing to the nation for all the stupid shit that he did. Prolonging the endless parade of embarrassment and disgrace isn’t helping anyone.

          • Some of you recall I was a rabid Ignatieff supporter but how many Liberals stayed home rather than vote? 10K, 50K, 100K or even 200K? Did anyone ever nail down that figure?

Those Liberals hated Michael’s guts, period.

          • Scot says:

Yikes, you have a serious Trudeau derangement syndrome going on there. Deep breaths. In through the nose and out the mouth.

          • Sean says:

Yikes, Scott has a serious Tru-Anon cult fetish. Outside the Tru-Anon cult things usually go in through the mouth and out through the bowels. Inside Tru-Anon it’s the opposite.

        • Scot says:

I could say a few choice words about your intelligence Sean but I’ll respect Warren’s rules and keep them to myself.

          • Sean says:

Thanks Scott for being so sensitive to my feelings by following the rules. I remember that time when someone said something really mean about me on the interweb. And then… I farted and forgot about it. How’s that for intelligence?

  8. Cole says:

If you were a certain Albertan you’d be crying, calling the cops and loving everything about it. She posted about you today btw

  9. Warren,

I’m for a spring election so we can finally settle this one way or another — but IMHO, this ain’t Harper who “progressed ” from two minorities to a majority (and then went out of his way to blow it) it’s a guy who had the full confidence of the voters right out of the gate and by his management and personal conduct weakened the Liberal brand in two successive elections. Don’t need to be a genius to see in which direction this is going…
