I’m not in favor of politicians having to plumb the depths of the internet to find every wingnut who “supports” them, and denounce them all. Especially wingnuts who aren’t even in Canada.

However, Alex Jones is sort of the defacto leader of the wingnut brigade, and I’m guessing it won’t take Pierre long to hear about this commentary. So, in this case I agree – Pierre needs to make it clear he doesn’t want any association with folks of this type.

  2. Sean says:

He will. Because the Leadership is over. He never believed any of that crap and he doesn’t need any of those rubes any longer.

‘What Me Worry ?’ Pierre Poilievre et al Inc ?
He can claim he never heard of Alex Jones
until uh.. today ? Is it unrealistic to assume Jenni Byrne or Ballingall would admit they have either. Yes, that’s laughable.. They know EXACTLY who Alex Jones is..

High among the most diseased persons in North America.. a guy who monetized HATE 4 PROFIT

  4. Douglas W says:

    Alex Jones: big shrug.

Folks, I know, talk endlessly about the cost of living; guns and violence; another forced vaccine mandate.

Hope the Libs run on the Alex Jones factor.

  5. Warren,

Jesus Christ. Just what we need…

Honestly Ronald-who cares. He is a whack job and everyone knows it. They ignored it in the House today. I was actually surprised they were that smart. This was the best response I saw on twitter today.

      • Martin,

Trudeau Liberals always turn the truth into pretzels more often than not sooner rather than later. They didn’t go there because they’re suddenly honorable and ethical. They let it go due to their usual disorganized and incompetent nature. But there are a precious few brains in that war room so here it comes sooner or later.

  6. Doug says:

Ah yes-guilt by association. It was stupid in high school and it is even more ridiculous when engaged by adults. Denouncing Alex Jones would be lose-lose. If he does so, the Liberal hate machine will spin it as PP changing his public position because he has a secret agenda. If he doesn’t, then PP supports conspiracy theorists. Best he keeps hammering the Liberals on incompetence, and they keep replying wirh no real solutions other than feeding inflation through more spending. Jenni Byrne/John Baird vs. a Buttsless Katie Telford will be an apic battle. I hope she does down in flames and Trudeau moves onto his true calling on Celebrity Big Brother.
