I miss the Liberal party. Voted for this guy at least once.

Nice Pic…….Even though pretty much a life long Conservative, I voted for the man once, and I miss the days when you knew your country had an intelligent, competent leader….who had at least a modicum of understanding of what it was like to have to do without.
My mom adored him, and thought he was sexy.
People will look back fondly at the “Chretien years” as some of the best in the country’s history.
That he was a fan of HM Queen Elizabeth II endears him to me even more.

  3. Warren,

I wonder what prime minister Chrétien would say about the latest Nanos. I’ll bet he would start with something like, polls go up, polls go down.

But privately, would he be concerned about Trudeau Liberals’ support and whether the current trend is recoverable or not? Hope he gives an interview to someone.

Fortress Toronto seems to be crumbling a bit and Atlantic Canada seems to be more sensible then they have been of late. I think it is recoverable if they put someone like Bubbles in charge. Quite frankly, I would prefer that even it increases the Liberals’ chances of winning. If you apply game theory to the various potential end results, the possibility of JT continuing as PM is just not worth the risk.

Where have we seen this scenario before?…..Cons leading the polls only to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by ham handed campaigns run by Refooormers who never quite seem to have their hand on pulse of Canada(and its regions)

Couple that with the election largesse the Dauphin and Co. with be shovelling out round election time(“Candies” as PET called them), and I suspect we will wind up with another Liberal gov’t.

There is nothing the average Canadian voter doesn’t love more than being bought with their own tax dollars.

      We’re doomed.

      • PJH,

I think Pierre knows perfectly well why we lost three elections in a row: translation because Harper, Scheer and O’Toole personally blew it for different reasons. Is Poilièvre stupid enough to follow in those footsteps? I don’t think so.
