(b) Everyone – left/right, Canadian/American – is pissed off, and justifiably so, at CATSA and the TSA, and

(c) It is already known that CATSA and TSA are scrambling to back away from their idiocy

…I’m not sure I’d be all jokey-jokey about it, and coming to the defence of the goons wearing rubber gloves. That doesn’t seem like the smartest strategy, to me.

I mean, the only thing worse than that would be…oh, I don’t know, flip-flopping on the war.

The top autocrat at CATSA is Kevin McGarr; the chairman of the board is “D” Ian Glen. No emails, of course – you pay their salaries, but God help you if you want to contact them to complain about something.  In any event, their toll-free number is 1-888-294-2202; their complaint page (for all the good it’ll do) is here. And, if you think people are overreacting, take a look at this video, posted first by GritChik. It shows a young child, age five or six, being partially stripped and searched by the TSA, who are apparently now a source of inspiration for the morons at CATSA.

The Ontario Liberals have asked Twitter to shut down a fake account that claims to be registered to Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak’s three-year-old daughter.

A user purporting to be “Miller Hudak,” began posting on Twitter under the username@Hooodakkkk late Monday.

“Everyone is on Twitter. Including those weird relations you want to avoid. Too late now,” reads the first tweet, which is followed by another one that says “Polkaroo is on Twitter!”

When Premier Dalton McGuinty learned of the prank, he sent a handwritten note “from one father to another” to alert Hudak during question period on Tuesday.

The opposition leader read McGuinty’s missive, delivered by a parliamentary page, then walked across the floor to thank the premier. The two men shook hands and later resumed debating.
